DAMASCUS, SYRIA: At least 20 civilians, mostly women and children, were killed in airstrikes conducted by US coalition during the past 36 hours against targets presumably belong to Daesh in eastern Syria.
The town of Hadaj located in the southern countryside of Hasakah has come under attack by US warplanes that hit houses and farms, killing at least 12 civilians including 2 women and 7 children.
The death toll will more likely rise as many victims are still buried under rubbles.
Hours later, a US airstrike on Baghuz fouqani town in east Deir Ezzor countryside killed 8 civilians, including 3 children.
Thousands of civilians, stuck in Daesh-held areas, are vulnerable to massacres by aerial bombardment as long as the US coalition continues to indiscriminately pound Daesh-controlled areas without previously providing a safe exit for civilians. (AMN)
