Syrian Army Resumes Offensive Attacks in East Ghouta outskirts

BEIRUT, Lebanon– The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has resumed their offensive in the East Ghouta area of Harasta this morning after a successful start on Sunday against militants.  Al-Masdar news reported.

Iran’s top military commander had said on Sunday,” both Tehran and Damascus will comply with a month-long Syria ceasefire declared by the UN Security Council, but that attacks will continue in the Damascus suburbs held by terrorists.”

The Syrian Arab Army led by their 4th Mechanized Division have stormed the defenses of Qatar backed militant group Faylaq Al-Rahman and Turkey backed militant group Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham in Harasta, attacking the last buildings under their control in the Al-Ajami District.

According to a report from Damascus, the Syrian Arab Army is currently on the move in the Al-Ajami District, while they receive close air support from the Syrian Arab Air Force (SyAAF).
If the Syrian Army can take control of the Al-Ajami District from the rebels of Al-Qaeda ally Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham and Qatar ally Faylaq Al-Rahman, they will be in control of Harasta’s western sector.
