PESHAWAR: With just three days to wait for Kashmir Solidarity Day, preparations have reached to its peak in all 25 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) and seven agencies of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), where a large number of programs will mark the day in most befitting manner.
Solidarity Day will start with special prayers in Masjids for progress and prosperity of Pakistan and Kashmir, eternal peace of martyrs of Kashmir and freedom of Muslim occupied states including Jammu and Kashmir and Palestine.
The civil society, educational institutes, cultural organizations will organize special programmes: processions, seminars, talk shows in association with Kashmir Solidarity Day.
Big rallies and demonstrations would be the major features of the day in all major cities of KPK and Fata.
Pro Vice-Chancellor Islamia College University Peshawar, Professor Naushad Khan told Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) that Quaid E Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah had a special attachment with Kashmir and declared Kashmir jugular vein of Pakistan.
He said the struggle of Kashmir for the freedom is into the final phase and time was near when people will get their right to self-determination from Indian occupation.
He appealed TV channels, radio stations and newspapers to keep highlighting the Kashmir issue and atrocities by Indian forces in Kashmir.
