Islamabad: Pakistan’s foreign minister blasts India after an Indian top military officer asserted he was ready to call the “nuclear bluff” against Pakistan
Pakistan’s foreign minister, Khawaja Asif, launched a contemptuous attack on India’s army chief by reaffirming that feedback had been “not befitting his office”.
In his tweet, Khawaja Asif said, “very irresponsible remark by Indian Military, no longer befitting his administrative center, amounts to an invitation for the nuclear encounter, if that is what they desire, they are welcome to test our resolve.”
“The general’s doubt would swiftly be removed, inshallah.” The clear threat came after Indian army chief said he was willing to carry out a military operation that could lead to World War 3.
Rawat said, “We will call the bluff of Pakistan”
If we will have to really defy Pakistan, and the task is given to us, we are not going to give up just because they have nuclear weapons.
Tensions increased to another level when the spokesman for the Pakistan army, Asif Ghafoor, in his statement said, that the south-Asian nation has “credible nuclear capability”, he also declared “Should they wish to test our resolve, they may try and see it for themselves.
Army spokesman further said, “We have a credible nuclear capability, exclusively meant for a threat from the east, but we believe it is a weapon of deterrence, not a choice.”
In 2017, the Indian army killed 138 troops from Pakistan and 28 Indian soldiers disappeared during that specified period of time along the LoC.
