NEW DELHI: Accusing Pakistan of state terrorism policy, Vice-President of India, M Venkaiah Naidu while delivering a lecture at R V Raju memorial said, no religion in the world allows terrorism but some people in the name of religion are being radicalized and pushed into terrorism.
“Terrorism is their state policy. I want to make it clear to them, not an inch of India’s land will be allowed to be taken. It will never, never happen,” Venkaiah Naidu said.
During investigations led by NIA against terror funding in Jammu and Kashmir, some people were caught naked in the probe, Naidu said.
Naidu admitted, “The recent investigations by the NIA in tracing and tracking the funding of the separatist, has led to the significant decrease in the incidents of terrorism as well as the decline in the subversive activities being carried out by the separatists,” he said at the function organized by the National Investigation Agency.
Naidu made it clear that India has zero tolerance towards terrorism and attempts to disintegrate the nation will never be tolerated.
While warning against the alleged glorification of Afzal Guru, who was convicted and hanged in the Parliament attack case on 9 Feb 2013, and Yakub Memon, who was also convicted and hanged on 30 July 2015, for his involvement in the 1993 serial bombings in Mumbai, saying such acts would not be tolerated.
Naidu on external threats faced by India said, “One of our neighboring countries continues to aid and abet acts of terrorism in India and for a long time has been trying to damage the monetary stability and economic security of India, through the production, smuggling, and circulation of counterfeit Indian currency notes.”
Besides vice-president M Venkaiah Naidu, home minister Rajnath Singh and Indian Army Chief, General Bipin Rawat were also present at the function.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh, in his address, said stone pelting declined in Kashmir due to NIA raids.
