Maqbool Bhat’s cry for freedom echoes in Kashmir, says Dal Khalsa

While paying glowing tributes to Maqbool Bhat and Afzal Guru, the Dal Khalsa said Indian state murdered them by hanging him secretly.
AMRITSAR: Dal Khalsa, while paying glorious tribute to Maqbool Bhat and Afzal Guru, said Indian authority murdered both of them in secrecy. The Dal Khalsa said that Maqbool Bhat instilled the idea of self-determination among the people of Kashmir.

The organization condemned Indian insensitivity for returning back the mortal remains of Afzal Guru to his family.
Dal Khalsa head-H S Cheema said, “The hanging of Guru was the purely political decision taken by Indian authority to satisfy the collective conscience of India and consolidate their vote-bank.”
While remembering Afzal Guru and Maqbool Bhat on their death anniversaries with the people of Kashmir, the Dal Khalsa said both achieved martyrdom for the pious cause of Kashmir.

Extending ‘moral support’ to the Kashmiris, the Dal Khalsa said, the state-sponsored terrorism in Kashmir and maiming of the Kashmiri people was a big blot on Indian democracy.
Dal Khalsa head urged representative organizations from Kashmir and Punjab to strengthen coordination among them to achieve the right to self-determination.
