Following the impressive demonstration on Solidarity Day with Kashmir, the British Parliamentarians termed human rights violations of the Kashmiri people “shocking.” British Parliamentarians appealed India to stop brutality in Kashmir and resolve the Kashmir dispute according to the resolution of the United States.
While speaking at a seminar on Kashmir, jointly organized by Pakistan High-Commission to London and Jammu and Kashmir Self-Determination Movement International, in the British Parliament on February 5.
During the seminar, several Lords, MPs put forward their views during the occasion, along with a large number of Mayors, Councillors, Kashmiri leaders, members of the civil society and human rights organizations, Kashmiri community and media persons attended the seminar.
Acting High Commissioner-Zahid Hafeez Chaudhry in his turn urged the world community to take a step forward and convince India to end its state sponsored terrorism in Kashmir.
“Pakistan has proposed to the UN Secretary-General to appoint a Special Envoy on Kashmir. I would like to iterate our proposal of a fact-finding mission of the British Parliamentarians to both sides of Kashmir,” Chaudri said.
Mr. Chaudhari condemned Indian atrocities in Kashmir and Pakistan’s political, diplomatic and moral support to the Kashmiri people struggling for their legitimate right, adding that India’s unwillingness to address the issue is worsening the miseries of Kashmiri people.
Pakistan observes Kashmir Solidarity Day every year on 5 the February to support Kashmir cause and struggle.
