Kurd Supporters use ‘Kashmir video’ to promote anti-Turkey propaganda

Last month, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that a worldwide propaganda campaign against Turkey, launched by the supporters of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) amid the operation in Syria’s Afrin, was “based on lies” and bound to fail.

Seems like Erdogan was right as Kurdish supporters usually use fake videos and images to get sympathy and support from the international community, this was recently proved when a Kurd was spotted on Twitter spreading famous video from Indian administered Kashmir in which Indian Armymen are beating a Kashmiri civilian.

A Kurd supporter wrote on Twitter, “here is #afrin, this is the destroyed area of kurdistan of syria by the turkish army”

On January 20, the Turkish General Staff announced the beginning of the Operation Olive Branch, aimed against certain Kurdish forces, in Afrin. Ankara considers PYD, a Kurdish political party in northern Syria, and Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) militia affiliates of the PKK.
