KTMF threatens agitation against CASO’s, civilian killings in Kashmir

Srinagar: Describing that the “deadly” Cordon And Search Operations (CASO’s) are proving to be a disaster for life and economic activities in the Valley, The Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation (KTMF) President Haji Muhammad Yasin Khan threatened to launch an agitation.

In his statement, Yasin said, instead of taking measures to bring an end to CASO’s, the “deadly operations” have not even spared the Old City or Shaher-e-Khaas.

Khan said,”After other districts including villages, towns, and tehsils, with the beginning of new year, the CASO has reached the heart of Srinagar, which means that forces are determined to script more killings on 2018 calendar. How will business, including tourism strengthen under these circumstances,” he added.

Khan said the government was silent over the increasing CASO’s, which claim precious lives and provide a “bloody picture” of Kashmir to the outside world.

The situation in Kashmir is alarming that business sectors have almost dropped and the day is not far when businessmen will die of starvation.
He warned if the state government does not intervene in ending festering CASOs, the business sector will be left with no option but to launch an agitation

He further said, New Delhi should find alternative options for the peaceful and dignified solution to the difficult problems in Kashmir.
