Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir government today said 195 Indian Security forces lost their lives over the most recent three years in militant attacks in the Kashmir Valley.
In a written answer to a question of BJP’s Ramesh Arora, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti told the Legislative Council that 195 Indian security forces were killed in “militant-related violence” in the last three years in the Kashmir valley.
Of these, 78 were Killed in 2017, 74 in 2016 and 43 in 2015, she said.
In recent years, these violent confrontations have gained another dimension, hordes of protestors hurrying towards the gunfight, pelting stones, chanting anti-Indian slogans and providing cover to anti-Indian militants to escape. With Civilian intervention has come an ascent in regular citizen losses, which thus has fuelled well-known outrage against government forces.
