Kashmiris can’t be forced into submission: Joint Resistance Leadership

SRINAGAR: Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, and Mohammad Yasin Malik in a statement said: “the spree of arrests, nocturnal and daytime raids, an imposition of curfew and restrictions and other oppressive tactics are a glaring example of the farce Indian democracy in Jammu Kashmir”.

The horrific killings in South Kashmir’s Shopian district and barring mourning are not only inhuman but acts of state-sponsored terrorism, JRL said.
Government authorities on Friday foiled the ‘Shopian Chalo’ call given by   Syed Ali Shah Geelani and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq to march from their house, both the leaders defied house arrest and tried to march towards Shopan. However, Mohammad Yaseen Malik somehow managed to reach Shopian and addressed the people at Jamia Majid. He was arrested outside the Masjid.

While condemning the use of forces to foil “Shopian Chalo” they said that “today’s call was actually a protest against horrific killings of innocents, seven of whom lost their lives within a week in Shopian.”
Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, and Mohammad Yaseen Malik told in a statement said: “The Indian democracy in Jammu Kashmir yet again stands exposed before the international community and people of India as (New Delhi) and its Kashmiri puppets chose to suppress people’s voices by military might.”
JRL said Kashmir has been turned into a slaughterhouse, and Kashmiris are facing  Indian brazenness. No one is safe and death and destruction are being celebrated by the oppressors.
JRL said Kashmiris will not bear this genocide silently and the resistance leadership will do whatever possible to do to stop Indian bloodshed in Kashmir.
