Government Forces in Kashmir killed 18 people in Kashmir including 3 young boys in the month of January this year
Srinagar: According to the data issued by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, the killings have left 2 women widowed and 10 children orphaned. About 147 people were injured due to the use of brute forces and firing of bullets, pellets and teargas shells by Indian forces and police personnel against protesters and mourners.
The data also says that the Forces have arrested 137 people including separatist leaders and activists in the month of January alone.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Mehbooba Mufti has already ordered a magisterial probe into the recent shopian killings and police have registered FIR against Indian army personals in the killing of 2 civilians under sections 302 (murder), 307 (attempt to murder) and 33 (endangering life). An army major and few other soldiers of 10 Garwal have been mentioned in the FIR.
