Indian Agencies killed Nadeem to revive Ikhwan Raj in Kashmir, says Geelani

SRINAGAR: Senior separatist leader and chairman of  Hurriyat Conference (G) on Tuesday blamed Indian agencies for the Killing of Mohammad Yousuf Rather (Nadeem)- Hurriyat executive council member and secretary general of Tehreek-e-Wahdat e Islami, saying the Indian agencies are reviving ‘Ikhwan culture.’

Syed Ali Shah Geelani while paying the rich tributes to Yousuf Rather, said that is a personal loss for me and “I am deeply pained by the killing of Nadeem. I condole his demise and express my condolence to the bereaved family,” Geelani said in a statement.

“He was a great thinker and committed pro-freedom activist. He was killed in a cold blood. It is a personal loss to me. He was among the thinkers of Hurriyat. His killing has created a vacuum which can’t be filled,” Geelani said.

“His killing is a conspiracy of Indian agencies with a sole aim to revive the infamous Ikhwan Raj in the state,” a Hurriyat (G) spokesman said quoting Geelani.

Geelani said his (Nadeem’s) untimely demise has created a void, adding that we stand with his bereaved family and express our deep and heartiest condolences and pray for his heavenly departure.

Hurriyat Conference has called a condolence meeting of its party and other resistance organization on February 15, at 11 AM at the residence of the slain leader.
Hurriyat (M) spokesman while expressing the solidarity to the family Nadeem’s family,  said such acts are highly condemning.
