Farooq Abdullah said the rising conflict along LoC can be resolved only through talks and requested New Delhi to take a step forward for this.
NEW DELHI: National Conference patron and former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir Farooq Abdullah on Tuesday in his statement to media said, Pakistan is not the only country which is firing along LoC.
Farooq Abdullah said that India is also firing and hence is also responsible for ceasefire violation along Line of Control (LoC).
He said “Are they the only ones who are firing? We are firing too. Both sides are doing this, adding that this has led to the destruction of people. This is leading to a war like situation.”
He said “War is never a solution to anything. The only solution is dialogues.”
Farooq Abdullah’s remarks came days after four Indian soldiers including a young army captain were killed and other receiving injuries in recent ceasefire violations along Line of Control in Rahpiori district.
