Pakistani Cricketer turned Politician and Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan hits out at the Prime minister Of India Narendra Modi on Saturday.
Imran Khan blamed the Indian Prime Minister for his arrogant attitude towards the people of Pakistan.
He expressed despair for the normalisation of the relation between the two countries anytime soon.
Speaking to the reporters, Imran expressed very dim hopes of breaking the ice between the two countries and blamed Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the deadlock in the relations.
Hitting out at the ideology and the mindset of the Indian prime minister, Imran said that it is the ideological association of Modi which disallows him to come on the table of negotiation.
“Modi’s mindset does not allow for [the negotiations]. I had told Modi [once], no matter what happens the door for negotiations between India and Pakistan must never close,” he said.
Imran Khan issues this statement after taking a cue from the historic meeting between the leaders of North and South Korea on Friday, where they pledged to bring a formal end to the Korean War, 65 years after hostilities ceased.
The thawing of ice between North and South Korea has prompted many in Pakistan and India to feel that the leaders of the two countries should take a cue from Korea and move forward from their differences.
