Grenade attack on Army camp in Pulwama, area cordoned off

SRINAGAR: Militants on Monday night lobbed a grenade on an Indian Army camp in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, but no damage was reported.

A police official said militants attacked a camp of the Rashtriya Rifles unit of the Army at Kakapora with a rifle grenade on Monday night at around 8.30pm, adding that there was no damage due to it.

In retaliation, Army fired several rounds. No casualty was reported from the Army side and the area was immediately cordoned off, the official said.
