Srinagar, April 26 (GNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Thursday according to the constitution of District Coordination Committee for implementation and regular review of Joint HIV/TB Collaborative activities in the State.
With deputy commissioner concerned as chairman District Coordination Committee have been asked to strengthen the coordination between RNTCP and NACP Staff in the District.
They have been also tasked to review the performance of all HIVPB activities implemented in the
District as per National Framework, and provide guidance for improvement; address issues related to human resources including filling of vacancies, training of key programme staff and general health staff in HIVPB activities; ensure participation of general health system staff in implementation of HIVPB activities; ensure that appropriate infection control measures are taken at all facilities providing HIVPBIDR-TB care; ensure safe injection practices in facilities providing health facilities to prevent HIV.
According to GNS, they have been asked to promote participation of NGOICBO and Private Practitioners in the implementation of TB-HIV activities. (GNS)
