Last Friday night, four people claimed to be followers of Iranian cleric Hossein Shirazi, climbed up to the balcony of Iranian embassy in London and removed the Iranian flag.
The four were quickly taken into custody by the UK police.
Ali Shamkhani, head of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, accused the British government of being behind a recent trespassing incident at Iran’s embassy in London, according to local media reports, APA reports quoting Anadolu Agency.
The Iranian Students News Agency reported on Monday that a top Iranian official had made the accusation while visiting a university in Tehran.

Shirazi opposes the principle of ‘Velayate Faqih’ or the Supreme Leader in Iran, he was detained in front of his house on March 5 in Qom city of Iran. His detention has sparked protests in Iraq’s southern Karbala province.
