Farooq Abdullah slams BJP MP’s remarks that “Muslims should not live in India”

NEW DELHI: Former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Dr. Farooq Abdullah has strongly criticized BJP MP Vinay Khatiyar’s remarks that “Muslims should not live in India.”
Farooq Abdullah while talking to media report said, “Is this the country of Katiyar’s father? This country belongs to all of us,” (Kya ye Katiyar ke baap ka desh hai? ye desh hum sabka hai).
He said, “Those who are doing such talks are only spreading hatred in the nation,” adding that all religions spread the message of love and peace.



On Wednesday, BJP MP-Katiyar said, “Muslims should not be staying in India. They divided the country on the basis of their population. There is no need for them to stay in this country. They got a separate land. They should go to Bangladesh or Pakistan. They have no business to be India.”
