Similarly, hundreds of posts are vacant in other departments including Public Works, Power, home, Cooperative, Tourism, Horticulture, Finance, Planning and Development besides other departments.

The PDP-BJP government led by Mehbooba Mufti has failed to provide employment to the youth of Jammu and Kashmir since it came to power in 2014.
In spite of these huge number of vacancies, the state government has failed to fill these vacant posts. The state of Jammu and Kashmir continues to have one of the highest unemployment rates in India.
The present PDP-BJP government has proved a burden on the people of Jammu and Kashmir, especially the Kashmir region with no signs of good governance. It seems that the election manifesto of PDP was a hoax, a deceptive way to get the majority in the state where people are craving for peace, employment, and development since decades. It seems like the present less experienced government is still configuring how to run the state and maintain the peace at the same time, especially in the Kashmir region.
