Srinagar: IG BSF Sonali Mishra on Thursday said at least 175 militants were waiting at launch pads across the Line of Control (LoC) to infiltrate into Valley.
While talking to reporters at BSF’s Kashmir frontier headquarters, here, IG BSF Sonali Mishra said at least 175 militants were waiting at launch pads across the Line of Control (LoC) for infiltration into Kashmir Valley to incite trouble in the State.
Mishra, however, refused to give details on the number of militant launch pads across the LoC.
IG BSF Sonali Mishra blamed Pakistan for adopting different tactics to vitiate peace in India.
“Pakistan doesn’t want India to have a peaceful atmosphere. This is why they do such violations. There was a ceasefire violation yesterday too,” Sonali Mishra, Inspector General of BSF told ANI.
Mishra further said that the Border Security Forces and Army have given a befitting reply to the Pakistani troops. “BSF and Army gave a befitting reply and according to our reliable sources there are two casualties on their side,” added Mishra.
The situation along Line of control (LoC) and International border remains tense. Both Indian and Pakistan are violating the ceasefire agreement and thousands of civilians have been evacuated near Line of Control (LoC) and International border.
